LEARN CREATE SHARE

Spaces and platforms have now enabled us to share  - Bebo, Myspace, Facebook- Youtube has allowed us with the capability to share... 


Manaiakalani found that these platforms such as YoutTube could be used as a hook!!!! It is something that we have already been doing

Sharing with a purpose - Having an authentic audience - writing a letter to someone and why? Podcast letters to invite them to come in for a podcast teaching around formal and informal. 


Blogging - Cybersmart challenges

Blogging with purpose and encouraging feedback along the way - Giving and receiving feedback - getting students to connect with each others blogs.

Reflection 

It was very interesting listening about the importance of an audience. This resonates with me as our leadership team were reviewing our language learning progressions for writing.It was clear the importance of our students understand the purpose and the audience of who they are writing to. I like what Vicki shared about the importance of our children writing something e.g. letters where they remain in children's books. However having a purpose encourages students to write but also gives them an expectation.


In terms of planning the route for the cross country I printed it out and highlight awesome ted the route and included the numbers for those teachers and where they. will stand on each part of the route. For next time I will try to plan using google maps drive which will be really good. 

Loving the lessons on excel, as we will need to share a few things regarding BOT at the end of the year regarding data so will look to use this for organising in the future.

    I'm glad that there were so many aspects of the day that you can see real use for in your context. Using Google Sheets for board reports is so great in that you can collaboarate with others on the data you are collecting, charts/graphs to your docs and then update them as more data comes in. Just such a useful tool. And I love the idea of using MyMaps for your Cross Country. You could add markers with your numbers so the teachers know where they need to be!

  Wow really enjoyed the introductions. Great to see the everyone in my bubble and the vast experience everyone has. Creative skills help students become better problem-solvers, communicators and collaborators  Everyone can Create Apple 2018  I like the part about our children becoming problem-solvers, in order to do this that they need to be given the opportunities. Creativity is important for children as fresh air and sunshine.  letting children explore that space - giving children opportunities Lego with groups of students, chess group, podcasts, table tennis club giving them opportunities.  It was ally cool watching heart of the matter - It was interesting what he shared that when they looked at other schools work it looked similar, but with their school their work was very different.
