  Session 9 External Recognition Team hub sharing:   This morning we shared how our 8 weeks of learning under Manaiakalani. I have really enjoyed the learning throughout the weeks. When I didn't even know that we had a google draw lol. However the learning has been vey beneficial as now I have learnt the skills to create my own site, and have now created out year 7 & 8 google site.   Session 8:  Empowered learners and Empowered teachers Empowered - unpacking from the word Agency  It is very difficult to get by with the average wage. It gives very little choice for some families, considering whanau in different spaces who have been displaced and had to move into another area.  Research shows that children coming from low socioeconomic communities arrive at school  2 -3 years compared to students in high decile schools. Also fall back with amount of words being learnt and a more likely to be transient families.  Technology spaces is not just a tool. Use the connections so that children can learn create and share.  Friday 20th August session 4  LEARN CREATE SHARE Spaces and platforms have now enabled us to share  - Bebo, Myspace, Facebook- Youtube has allowed us with the capability to share...  Manaiakalani found that these platforms such as YoutTube could be used as a hook!!!! Creative skills help students become better problem-solvers, communicators and collaborators  Everyone can Create Apple 2018  I like the part about our children becoming problem-solvers, in order to do this that they need to be given the opportunities. Creativity is important for children as fresh air and sunshine.  letting children explore that space - giving children opportunities Lego with groups of students, chess group, podcasts, table tennis club giving them opportunities.  It was ally cool watching heart of the matter - It was interesting what he shared that when they looked at other schools work it looked similar, but with their school their work was very different.   Wow really enjoyed the introductions. Great to see the everyone in my bubble and the vast experience everyone has.
